One of America’s most popular coins, the Buffalo Nickel also known as the Indian Head Nickel was designed by James Earle Fraser and first minted in 1913. The Buffalo shown on the reverse of the coin was modeled after “Black Diamond” who was the popular bison housed at the New York Zoological Garden during the turn of the century. Three different American Indians were used as the artist’s models for the obverse of the coin. No Buffalo Nickels were struck in 1922, 1932 or 1933. The last date of issue was 1938. Collection includes a Buffalo Nickel and 2 stamps, one featuring the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, and the second featuring the Transcontinental Railroad.Other products from A4C
