The Eisenhower Dollar was America's last large size Dollar coin ever minted and is a treasured piece of American history. The obverse of the coin features Dwight D. Eisenhower, the WWII hero and President of the US from 1953-1961. The reverse of the coin features the Apollo 11 design, created by Frank Gasparro. Using state of the art technology not available at the U.S. Mint. the reverse of the coin has been colorized, bringing the image to life.
