'Blame it on Jesus' is a satirical comic strip with a sceptical view on biblical affairs. It is an action-packed adventure-saga about the ever grumpy biblical god and his rebelling son Jesus who seem to quarrel about nearly every challenge they meet, from a high speed car chase to the heat of a scientific experiment, and from the hysteria of an alien civilization to the secret powers of fruit. The motivation for their actions in response to each new trial is directly inspired by their original source, the Bible, a habit with often confusing and painful consequences for both heroes. The series title, Blame it on Jesus, refers to the proposal that lies at the core of christianity; whatever goes wrong in your life, blame it on Jesus. To keep the characters' traits as authentic as possible, references to the Bible are included throughout the series. In fact, the behavior of these characters is often spectacularly unbelievable and the reference notes will help the reader to make a direct connection to the original biblical source that prompted that behavior. The result is that this comic strip can be read as an entertaining and rather revealing Bible study. The visual style is influenced by the Belgian comics of the 'fifties' and 'sixties' by artists like Hergé, Jacobs, Martin and others. The hint of formality to that style is great for satire. It is perfect for addressing subjects that are mostly perceived as rather serious but are in fact screaming to be made fun of.'God's Dream' is episode 4 in this series: When God falls asleep in his garden, he has a rather unsettling dream about wasps, orbital space flight, obstinate slaves, apples and classic philosophy. But an unexpected answer to a choking question reveals itself when he wakes up.This episode consists of 73 panels.
